DESKA Board - The City Cruiser, designed by Csaba Tölgyesy, is a unique and innovative piece of equipment that combines the thrill of skateboarding, longboarding, snowboarding, and windsurfing into a single board. Unlike any ordinary skateboard or longboard, DESKA offers a one-of-a-kind experience that is sure to excite extreme sports enthusiasts.
The standout feature of DESKA is its powerful Disk Brake System (DBS), which allows riders to stop quickly and effectively in various circumstances. This system ensures the safety of the rider, providing peace of mind even in challenging conditions. Additionally, the Strap System complements the braking process and makes jumps easier and safer.
DESKA also offers the unique ability to connect a windsurf sail, transforming it into a fully functional windskate. This Windsurf Sail Connectivity (WSC) feature opens up a whole new world of possibilities for riders, allowing them to experience the thrill of windsurfing on land.
The design of DESKA is characterized by its Convex Carbon Shape (CCS), a lightweight and hand-made deck that weighs only 1603 grams. The deck is crafted using vacuum suctioned carbon fiber, glass fiber, and Kevlar composites, ensuring durability and performance. The metal elements of DESKA are made from CNC milled lightweight aluminum and stainless steel with copper sleeves.
DESKA Board - The City Cruiser is designed with the rider's comfort and stability in mind. Its bent shape provides a low center of gravity, resulting in a more stable ride. The 200mm diameter wheels allow for smooth navigation through cracks and cobblestones in the city.
The DESKA board is available in two sizes: Size M, with a total weight of 1603 grams and a maximum rider weight of 95 kg, and Size L, with a total weight of 2100 grams and a maximum rider weight of 105 kg. The board, along with its suspensions, wheels, brake system, and strap system, has a total weight of 4603 grams (M) or 5106 grams (L).
The DESKA Board - The City Cruiser is the result of extensive research and development. Csaba Tölgyesy, the designer, spent 15 years exploring various boards in different sports before realizing the need for a board that combines a safe braking system with the ability to attach a windsurf sail. The project started in May 2010 in Austria and was completed in February 2015 in Hungary.
DESKA Board - The City Cruiser has received recognition and accolades for its exceptional design. It won the People's Choice prize at HP's pre-crowdfunding contest in 2014 and was successfully funded on Indiegogo in November 2014. The board has been featured in various publications, including BBC's Top Gear magazine.
With its innovative features and exceptional design, DESKA Board - The City Cruiser offers a unique and thrilling riding experience for extreme sports enthusiasts. Whether cruising through the city streets or catching the wind with a windsurf sail, DESKA is sure to deliver an unforgettable ride.
